Nate and Erin Herbst

Erin grew up in Durango and had a vibrant relationship with Christ from a young age. She began sharing her faith at the age of 8 and was involved in various types of ministry until college. Nate has also had a growing relationship with God since he was young and grew up an MK in Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, Mexico and Romania; he was involved in many aspects of his parents’ ministry including evangelism, Bible studies and other areas. He did a Discipleship Training School with YWAM in 1997 and spent time in Nepal. We met at Fort Lewis College College in Durango where Nate majored in Chemistry and Erin in Humanities. We got married July 13th, 2002, after graduation and spent 2 years working in the area - Nate worked as an Air Quality Specialist and guest lectured on air pollution for NAU and ITEP. Erin worked as a teacher with special needs children. In 2004, we responded to God’s call on our lives, leaving our jobs to follow Him in His Great Commission on a full time basis. The adventure has been amazing. Since 2004 our focus has been to win college students to Christ, build them into strong disciples and send them into His harvest (Mt.9:37); we’ve seen so many students come to Christ and most of them have been individually discipled. Many of those students are now also furthering God’s kingdom and many are either presently in full time ministry or planning to go into ministry in the near future. We have led summer projects in Romania, with many of our students, and are planning more summer projects with our students overseas in the near future. There are a few other areas God is leading us in also: Nate is involved in MPM's Real Men Ministry, we're co-directing the Crush Fear summer projects based here in Colorado (www.crushfear.com), we saw God raise $1,000,000 in a matter of months to purchase a large training facility to begin an internship and Great Commission Training Center (www.threetrailsranch.org), we are leading a pastorsʼ and leadersʼ weekly prayer time here in Durango (and are currently trusting God to expand this nationally), we have been doing evangelism workshops (more info on that here) for numerous local churches and the Nightvision concert (www.nightvisionphm.com), we do an evangelism blog (eternityimpact.blogspot.com) and a weekly evangelistic radio show (the God Solution). We are the blessed and very thankful parents of beautiful Eliana and Kara. Erin and I are convinced that we have nothing to offer in ourselves; we come to this ministry with a passionate devotion to Jesus Christ and furthering His Kingdom. We love God more now than ever and feel honored and privileged that He would call us to this life of serving Him and are excited about all He is doing. We both want to be serving Him by multiplying spiritual multipliers until we die.
